I'm an art-focused creative director looking for my next full time position. I build and lead creative teams and manage successful projects that drive brand growth. Currently embracing AI and introducing it into the creative ideation workflow.

While leading teams Im always ready to get hands-on with digital and print design, prototyping, UX, writing and photography, as well as editing video, and creating motion graphics.

 

Outside of work I like to raise old motorcycles from the dead, pickle any vegetable I can find, read physical books, and talk about these things until everyone else falls asleep.

Lead a team of designers in the product development and production process to bring board games to life in luxury and unique formats.

Manage external agencies in the development of DTC and B2B ecomm site experiences; PR and influencer content; and owned and earned marketing channels.

Source and manage photographers in the creation and production of lifestyle and product photography for use in digital and print.

Maintain social media presence and create original photo, video, design and copy across multiple channels.

Working solo or integrating seamlessly into brand and agency teams. I draw from every aspect of my creative agency experience to solve challenges and identify opportunities that move projects forward and drive successful outcomes. Here's some of what I do:

Develop branding & identity, social content, and other media for all digital marketing channels.

In my time at Amp I assisted in the growth of the agency from a small local startup focused on “youth marketing” to a national agency servicing multi-million dollar digital AOR accounts. From my years as a junior designer to a leading member of the senior creative team, I helped navigate changes in the agency’s focus by evolving creative expertise while mentoring and managing a team of talented creatives.

Led teams of 10+ creatives on Amp’s largest AOR digital advertising client accounts in concepting and developing monthly scheduled and ad hoc social media and digital media partner content inclusive of original design, video, audio, and photography.
 

Led conceptual thinking to unearth big campaign ideas for client challenges, refining and building out presentations of work to bring each idea to life. Successfully presented and sold in ideas to clients and key in-house decision makers.
 

Successfully worked with stakeholders in strategy, media, and account services to improve processes and creative output, maintain client relationships and grow client business.
 

Mentored creatives at all levels, keeping teams inspired and motivated to create their best work, leveraging their skillsets to result in the most favorable outcomes.
 

Always hands-on, I never stopped creating work in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premier, XD, Figma, Sketch, InDesign, etc. for web, digital video, social media, branding, apps, out-of-home, direct mail, experiential, print, and every end of the marketing funnel.

Developed conceptual approaches to design solutions across multiple clients, working solo or managing junior team members to bring projects and campaigns to life.
 

Built an in-house photo studio for the production of photo and video content, enabling production at the pace required by social media calendars.
 

Developed and maintained brand guidelines and templates for agency and client-side use.
 

Created original designs and production assets for various print, experiential, branding, and digital projects and campaigns.
 

Managed the pre-press process and print vendor relationships for both traditional print media and large format experiential printing.

I enthusiastically accepted the opportunity to return to my alma mater to teach a semester of typography to students early in their design education. It was an honor to show students that letterforms are art forms, how to geek out about two-story ‘g’s, how to get mad at every restaurant menu they will ever see, and the immense importance of caring deeply about the treatment of type in everything they design, from first draft to completion.
 

WHAT I DID
Developed a semester plan of lectures and projects designed to introduce new designers to the principles of typography.

Guided design students through projects.
 

Provided design and conceptual inspiration. Shared accumulated typography knowledge.
 

Analyzed work and assigned grades. Evaluated students and shared findings with tenured professors.
